Toast to Queen and Canada
- Business: Letter from Prince George Rotary about Adventures in Forestry and Environmental studies. This is a four-day camp for students from grade 10 to 12. Discussion on whether we want to send someone and how we recruit them. John will talk to a teacher he knows. Discussion on what we would expect from a student when they return.
- Literary project in Guatamala. An invitiation to take part in a service project. Forward to all club members.
- Castlegar Rotary club is looking for money for a water project in Togo. We did it last year or at least a water project to a different place. No decision made. We will look at the presentation at one of our meetings or ask them to come talk about it.
- Bob Quay the District Governor will visit on October 11th. We will meet at 8 at our house and have breakfast. Menu- scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, hash browns, fruit salad. Maddy will do breakfast with Carol providing the fruit. Price per person yet to be announced.
- Scheduling for web site – Juris wants to check on this.
- Road clean up will be on Saturday October 19th meeting at Tim Horton’s instead of Gas bar.
- Plastic bags. The District Passport club is spearheading this and they will cost about 50c for bags made of recycled plastic. We would sell for at least $2. Suggestion that we get 200. We will find out if Trail is doing this too. If they are we might not sell so many. Juris will liaise with them. We would use them for advertising
