Toast to Queen and Canada

  • Business: Bob Quay the District Governor will visits on October 11th.  Meet at 8 at our house and have breakfast. Menu- scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, hash browns, fruit salad.  Maddy will do breakfast with Carol providing the fruit.  Price per person yet to be announced.
  • Road clean up Saturday October 19th meeting at Tim Horton’s instead of Gas bar.
  • District Foundation Training is in Spokane on November 2nd
  • Express Grants: We have $350 (US) available for a hands on project.  What do we want to do? Suggestions: tree planting, contact communities in bloom, street park could be a good location.  Contact Trail club to see if they have any ideas.  Can we do something together?  Give out hot chocolate and cookies at the Spooktacular Oct 26th. Contact Gina Ironmonger.
  • Area Social: with a presidents meeting, would we host it?  Suggestions a darts tournament at the legion.  Maddy will investigate, possible date Nov 16th.
  • October 18th we have a speaker; Lana Rodlie will come to talk about her new book. Invite your friends.
  • Happy and sad bucks collected.
  • Meeting adjourned at 8am
