This morning we had the pleasure of listening to our program speaker, Lana Rodlie from the Trail Rotary Club. She was discussing her ten year labour of love of researching and publishing her fictional novel set in the late 1700s into the 1800s Pacific Northwest. The book is based on real characters and history. The story revolves around Ross Cox, and his travels from Ireland to the Pacific Northwest. Lana described her research, from reviewing the historical texts and visiting the various historical locations that the characters inhabited.
It is clear that Lana used her Journalistic skills to research and publish this book. A long bibliography can be found on her website real history.ca. And of course her book is available locally and from Amazon. Just make sure when you order Lana’s book, it is her book; because, there is another by the same name.
