Toast to Queen and Canada
- Program
- Murray McConnachie talked about a water project in Ethiopia. It is spearheaded by Tim Arnold, a Rotarian from Seattle. Murray is committed to getting clubs in the northern part of our district to contribute to it. He wants to use the project to attract younger members. The project will improve the lives of 34,000 people through better access to clean water, and the establish-ment and proper maintenance of sanitation facilities, and training in good hygiene practices with capacity building to sustain the community transformation.
- Graham thanked Murray and we will discuss the project and decide if we want to contribute and how much.
- Business:
- Dec 14th is confirmed as the date for the Christmas brunch at Rob Hawton’s house. It will also be our book exchange.
- We have about $3000 in our projects account. Next week Juris will give us an update on the financial situation of the club.
- It is time to start thinking about businesses to approach for the On line Auction. Next meeting is on November 26th.
