Toast to Queen and Canada

  • Business:
  • Graham and Juris attended the latest meeting of the Online Auction committee. The brochures were shown. Very professional. Other materials still need to be copied. We need to start soliciting businesses for the Auction.
  • Our application for the Express Grant was approved and the cheque received. The $350 US came to $437.47 can. Carol has bought an Instapot and will do her first class next Wednesday 15th. Maddy will do 23rd. Maddy will coordinate with carol to spend the rest of the grant.
  • Reminder that we need to get criminal record checks done through TACL for the cooking classes.
  • Area Presidents meeting on Jan 25th at Kootenay Kebab.
  • Jan 26th annual Bean Feed at Champion Lakes as a fundraiser for the BV Ski club.
  • Feb 28th is the Teck ski night at red mountain.
  • Discussion on Eclub. Juris will organise a Zoom meeting next week. It will be 40 minutes (for the free version) as a trial run. He will send out invites.
  • There is a Group Friendship exchange to New Zealand Nov 9 to 23 2020 with an inbound portion Sept 28 to Oct 11 2021. Maddy and Juris are thinking of applying.
  • Next week’s meeting at the church with an online component.

  • Happy and sad bucks collected. Meeting adjourned at 8am
