Toast to Queen and Canada

• Business:
• Discussion on bank accounts.
• Motion by Juris, seconded by Viktor that we consolidate our bank accounts into one. Carried. The treasurer will keep the amounts for projects and admin separate.
• The members would like to find a project to help with efforts to fight covid 19. Various ideas were discussed
• Discussion on the Community kitchen asking for funds. We decided not to apply for a grant to go in with the Trail club.
• Discussion on masks. There was a request for help from Interior health to provide masks. We do not have enough information and there is a facebook group already set up doing some of the organization. Could we get someone to make kits for sewers? We decided against this at the moment.
• A second meeting was set for Monday 20th at 7pm to report back on ideas.
• Over the next few days we came up with an idea and with email and phone calls applied for a district grant.
• the project is hand sanitizer supply to those unable to get it (marginalized people, those homeless, with limited mobility) We will buy bulk hand sanitizer and rebottle it into 50ml size, put labels on the bottles for redistribution. Grant applied for is US$200 with us matching it. the program is oversubscribed so we may only get a portion of it. Carol has bought the hand sanitizer. She expects to receive the bottles by Friday. Maddy will supply 1L glass jars to distribute it to members.
• another idea Viktor came up with is to phone people on behalf of Rotary. We will discuss this on Friday.
