The meeting was held at 7.15am on Zoom with President Juris presiding, 5 members present.

  • Business:
  • Action items from previous meetings; carol has paid the RI dues and will pay the district dues. she is collecting dues from members.
  • Social last Sunday was very successful. An outdoor picnic worked well.
  • No meeting next Friday 7th August as several of us away.
  • August 14th David and Joan will give their perspective on Black Lives Matter.
  • Program
  • Carolyn talked to us about the upcoming flu vaccine season. Vaccines at her pharmacy will be by appointment only. Due to the rules around social distancing she will only be allowed 6 people in an hour. She has to be completely gowned and have a face shield. They are expecting to need more vaccine than previous years. Interior Health has more vaccine available and she has ordered extra. Syringes may be an issue, she has ordered extra. Her challenge is that there may be a shortage of gloves and face masks. There is no covid vaccine, it takes a long time for testing on long term effects.
  • Juris thanked Carolyn.
  • Happy and sad bucks (not) collected. Meeting adjourned at 8.15am
