Thought of the day

Minutes 11 September 2020

Don’t fight the fog, there is nothing you can do to make it go away. Only nurture and comfort yourself until the path is clear once again.
J Williamson

You are your own star, galaxy, and universe. The moment you know this to be true is the moment you know – truly know- who you are and what you are capable of.

  • Program
  • Maddy introduced Teresa Cheng, an occupational therapist working for Interior Health. Tereasa works with people at TACL and is asking for a donation toward a specialized chair for a young lady with down syndrome, supported at TACL. The chair would help her sit up straight to eat. the chair costs $1000. She has donations of $250, and is asking for help with the rest.
  • We thanked her for her presentation and when she had left had a discussion about it. Some felt it a large sum for us to pay all of it but felt it worthwhile. some members wanted to donate towards it.
  • Motion by Carol, seconded by Weibing that We donate the remainder of the cost of $750 for the specialized chair. Passed. We will pay it directly to the medical company making the chair. Maddy will contact her for the invoice.
