The meeting was held on zoom with 6 members and two guests present. (Elizabeth Cytra and Thomas Profant)
Music – Here comes the sun
- Business:
- Tree project -We are a go for this. Trees suggested are black cottonwood, birch and saskatoon berry. Pat will get prices from suggested supplier and we will determine how many we can afford.
- Maddy attended the Peace conference Saturday February 4th. This is a district initiative. speakers available.
- Bingo, clubs are asked to buy a $100 gift certificate for a local restaurant and donate it as a give away.
- Fruitvale community garden; pat talked to Jason Startup at the Village and he was thrilled with the proposal to put in a watering system. Pat will donate soil to the boxes.
- Juris will see if we can get someone from Susie’s sewing project on zoom for a presentation.
- Pat suggested we get involved with the community garden in Fruitvale eg put in water for them. He will contact the village.
- We need projects to make us visible in the community.
- PETS – Juris and Maddy attended a keynote speaker with Shekar Mehta incoming RI president. His message is Service to change lives..
- Viktor introduced Thomas Profant a Rotary exchange student in 1999/20 with the Trail club. See separate post with more details of his talk. A video may also be available – contact Juris.
