• Tree project -the first lot of trees is on order. No date yet for planting.
• Carol is very busy and finding it hard to find the time to do the Treasurers job. she would like to hand it over to someone else.
• Bingo- golden is handing it over to Castlegar Rotary at the end of April. the combining of our three clubs into one on the dropdown menu is done. Fernie is joining the bingo.
• Our best wishes to club member Jay Ross who has been sick.
• DacDb – Juris commited the club to joining the new database the district has switched to. No charge for the basic modules.
• Program Givsum
• Juris introduced Shawn Wehan from Newport Beach Rotary in California (D5320) who is promoting Givsum a comprehensive management and engagement platform to help clubs do fundraising and monitor member engagement. It is an external platform that can help find members and volunteers. It works with existing databases. data is all in one place and you can see who is doing what. Fundraisers can be set up in different currencies to accept all transactions. Pricing is a 5% transaction plus a $.5 per item fee. There is a free version. If you pay you get many more features. It may be worth it for larger clubs.
