• Bingo; The two groups we want to give money to are not eligible. they have to reapply to BC Gaming and have a dedicated gaming account.
• Juris and Maddy attended a training session for Bingo at Castlegar Curling rink together with members from the Rossland and Trail clubs.
• Peace conference – Oct 16th on zoom. details to come soon.
• Fall assembly Oct 23rd zoom only. It will focus on the Foundation.
• Program – sheila Hart – Rotary Fellowships
• There are over 90 Rotary fellowships, they have members from all over the world. they are international groups who share a common passion. International Travel and Hosting Fellowship (ITHF) is the largest and most popular for people who love to travel. Sheila has been involved for many years and is a past president. There are fellowships on all subjects. There is always the possibility of starting more if there is interest. Lynn is interested in starting a chocolate lovers fellowship. The Whiskey Dram is the latest chapter in our District. You can have non-Rotarians in fellowships. Some are free to join and others have fees associated with them depending on the activities the group undertakes. See sidebar for a link to the list of fellowships.
• Next year’s district Conference will be in Colville, May 12 to 15th 2022.
