The meeting was held on zoom with 4 members present

  • Business:
  • Food drive tomorrow outside Liberty food store. We need signage. Maddy and Juris can be there most of day. Graham will come 9.15 to noon. Theresa Buchner will come help unload around 3.30pm. Send poster to friends. Liberty wants us to do it again if it is a success.
  • Juris shared Lynn’s October video. October is Community Economic Development month. October 16th Peace conference, October 23rd Fall Foundation summit.
  • Polio – only 2 wild cases this year. almost eradicated.
  • bingo – an observation/learning day October 22nd in preparation for us running it on 29th.
  • Express grant suggestion; Webster school has ski days in February that many kids cant afford. It costs $80 per child. they asked us to sponsor 10 kids. We would go help with getting kids oriented and into boots as parents are not always available.
  • Motion by graham seconded by Pat to apply for an express grant to support Webster school ski program for 10 kids. We would make up the difference from club funds.
  • Discussion on the future of the Beaver Valley Food bank.
  • Happy and sad bucks (not) collected. Meeting adjourned at 8.15am
