- Business:
- Bingo – Maddy shared a letter received from a bingo player explaining how the Bingo community helped them in their time of need.
- Bingo has put together a letter explaining how we have grown and asking for donations. Juris will talk to Trail and Rossland presidents to co-ordinate businesses to send it to.
- No news on social yet
- Is the Land conservancy eligible for gaming money? Juris will check with them. We could plant more trees using bingo money if it is. Consensus is that we do it again. Or approach Teck to sponsor us.
- Juris attended Trail club meeting and reported to them on our activities. They have a more formal meeting
- Rotary Moment – Maddy reported on an article in the November Rotarian magazine about Vanessa Nakate. She is a Uganadan climate change activist. She believes we need to listen to all voices and that people in Africa are already affected by climate change. see link to the article in the sidebar.
- Graham will do Rotary moment next week.
- Juris will present on the 4 way test and what is truth next week. We need to be able to disagree with each other in a safe space.
- Happy and sad bucks (not) collected. Meeting adjourned at 8.15am
