• Discussion on stupidity from the quote; We might see stupid mistakes as learning opportunities. Many medical practices such as blood letting were once thought good practice. When we learn we no longer make the same mistakes.
• Business:
• Christmas social on Dec 4th – Kootenay Kebab, at noon. Maddy will send out an email and link to the menu to preorder. Book exchange – bring a wrapped book to exchange
• Suzie’s sewing project. Motion by graham seconded by Pat to send $500 as promised to SSP. Carried.
• Juris has invited Nancy Gurr ED of TACL to come talk to us.
• Meetings on December 24th and 31st are canceled. Maddy will send a new link for January 7th Meeting.
• Please send dues to Carol. Via etransfer to wanetatrailrotary@gmail.com. It is $120 for the next 6 months
• Rotary moment – Graham – discussion on the question. A member of your club made a friend from abroad at the convention and wants to use club funds to host the person, also a rotary member for a visit. should you use club funds or not. Consensus was it was up to individuals to host, not from club funds. Morphed into a discussion on refugees.
• Invite someone from the Kootenay Friends of Refugees to come speak to us. (Maddy)
