The meeting was held on zoom with 4 members.

- Pat will contact Webster school regarding the ski day.
- Bingo -NYEve bingo was extremely successful with almost $200,000 given away. The progressive was $110,000 and the biggest prize was $55,000. Rhonda Hill won the gift basket. Maddy will get it to her.
- Currently we are not able to go to help in Castlegar for bingo until covid subsides.
- Pat has covid and is self isolating. Juris and madeleine have both had a nasty cold.
- Graham suggested we might give bingo money to the Moyie in Kaslo which is in need of renovations. this is from an article in Pennywise. Maddy will contact the Nelson club to see if this is something for them to pursue. We do not see it in our remit.
- Maddy did the green team challenge about carbon footprint. things that make a difference are becoming vegetarian and less consumption across all areas. Buy less of everything.
- PETS is currently happening virtually in January. The in-person sessions in February may be cancelled.
- Program – What books are we reading
- Maddy is reading Deep Diversity by Shakil Choudhury for the DEI bookclub about how our brain is wired to prefer people the same as us and how we can overcome this to get justice for people of colour.
- Juris is reading Livewired by David Eagleman, about the way our brain can change.
- Pat is looking forward to reading Darwin’s Doubt. He enjoyed The hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben which tells about the way the trees communicate and support each other.
- Graham is reading mystery books.
- Happy and sad bucks (not) collected. Meeting adjourned at 8.15am
