- Business
- Juris presented a check to TACL from bingo funds. We received a thank you card.
- thank you from “Mazocchi park up to snow good” for participating and making beaver tails.
- Webster winter wonderland happened and they did not inform us. What do we do with the express grant? We are going to try to do Fort shepherd again. We have to spend the money by the end of March.
- Bingo. We are back to in helping in-person. Our date to provide 3 people is March 11th. Joan, Maddy and Juris will go. Graham is also available.
- BV foodbank is moving and may need money to help set up the new area. They are eligible for bingo money through the Trail United Church. We will get them to fill in the form to apply. Members were in favour of donating.
- Next week Friday lunch 11th March. 1pm Double Happiness. skip morning meeting. Pat will see about booking it for ten people. Invite spouses. Kootenay kebab if Double happiness is only doing take out.
- Maddy attended the grant training on 26th and passed the quiz. There is now a video available to get certified. Maddy will send out the link.
- No date yet for the food drive at liberty – likely April 9th.
- Joan researched criteria for projects. Follow the guidelines from RI. In our original visioning session 13 years ago we had a guideline to concentrate on youth projects.
- Projects to think about – going back to the Trail drop youth drop in Centre to do cooking again. Start a fund to give scholarships to kids at Crowe going into trades. Need a project to raise funds for this.
- Adirondack chair project funds could be used for International. Although if they are raffled then gaming rules say we need to keep the money in BC. On 18th March we will make some decisions about the chairs.
- Want a community event to raise money. Need a signature event to help us raise our visibility. Need a vision session.
- Rossland Rotary is holding a fundraiser for Shelterbox towards the Ukraine crisis on March 12th.
- Road clean April 2nd. Meet at Tim’s at 8.30am
- March 18th Maddy will give a presentation on Diversity Equity and Inclusion from the DEI task force.
- Happy and sad bucks (not) collected. Meeting adjourned at 8.15am
