- Program- Maddy spoke to us on DEI
- District 5080 has a DEI task force whose job is to introduce the concepts to the clubs and help them develop programs within their clubs. RI has a DEI commitment and wants clubs to concentrate on promoting it to keep us relevant. A top priority for Rotary is growing and diversifying our membership.
- Cultivating a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture is essential to realizing our vision of a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change. She shared a message from Jennifer Jones, Rotary’s next President and first woman in the role. 69% of Rotary members worldwide are men and the average age is 61. We need to work to improve this.
- Comments; We do not want to drive away the older more conservative members. They need to be included too. We need to diversify membership or Rotary will die out.
- Road clean April 2nd. Meet at Tim’s at 7.45am for breakfast. Juris will get bags. Friday April 1st meeting moved to Saturday 2nd.
