  • Business
  • Bingo. We provide three people tonight – Juris, Maddy and Graham will go
  • Register for the district conference. May 13 to 15th in Colville. We do not have to have a test before crossing the border to come home. Need the ArriveCanada app on phone. Pat, Maddy and Juris are going.
  • Juris and Weibing helped out with the Trail Rotary road cleanup last weekend.
  • Our members have been invited to Cranbrook Rotary Centennial Celebration dinner and dance on Saturday, June 4th. Maddy sent out an email with details. they were one of our sponsor clubs so it would be nice if some of us went.
  • Christina Lake charter celebration is on Wednesday June 15th at 6pm at dueling Oaks restaurant in CL. email christinalakerotary@gmail.com for more details.
  • Pat went to the RCMP about the $300 we found during road clean up. There was an accident at the spot it was found. They will get back to us.
  • BV MayDays will be going ahead in a limited way May 27th to 29th
  • Wood for chairs is waiting for mill availability, no news. Pat will organize with them.
  • Pat will host an exchange student next year starting in September. His grandson is an outbound student. He is going to Coer D’Alene this weekend.
  • Program– discussion on articles in April Rotary Magazine.
  • White rhinos and Black mambas. A female group of rangers who are protecting the white rhinos in the Kruger park. They are helping educate the local people as well as protecting animals in the park. They adolescents and all ages with raising awareness.
  • Rotary action group for endangered species (RAGES) is helping raise awareness for many species around the world.
  • Guatemala literacy project was funded with money from TRF and Global Affairs Canada. Just one of examples of the 131 projects funded through the program.
  • Discussion on water use locally. Fruitvale has water restrictions in the summer because of pumping costs as well as limited water.
  • May 6th in person. breakfast at a restaurant. Lil Ts at 8am.
  • Happy and sad bucks (not) collected. Meeting adjourned at 8.15am
