The meeting was held on zoom at 7.15am with 6 members present.

- Business
- Our Express grant is now closed with the acceptance of the final report.
- Last week February 3rd, five of us met at Pat’s and practiced making beaver tails and made a shopping list for February 11th.
- Pat will bring two stoves to keep the oil and water for hot chocolate separate.
- BV tool rental will donate tent for us.
- The District will pay for Pat’s registration to go to PETS. He will drive down.
- RYLA – we think we have a credit together with the Trail club. Maddy will contact Ray Maslek from the Trail club and confirm that we still have a credit. then we can start recruiting someone.
- We still have bingo money we could spend.
- Maddy let Geoff at Trail YAN know we are interested in coming in again to cook. Juris, Graham, Pat, volunteered to cook. Maddy and Juris will go talk to him. Theresa Buchner is interested in helping again. Maddy will let the Trail club know we are doing it again.
- Beaver Valley Nursery School may be eligible for bingo money. Pat will talk to Sheila Issell.
- We received a letter from Jada Bascombe Foundation. they support those with Leukemia and help people become bone marrow matches. they are based in Deer Park Washington and are asking for $500. This seems a worthwhile project but we are not going to help them at this point. We prefer to keep our money in Canada.
- John Lake, a past member, had a fall and passed away this morning in the hospital. We will send flowers. Secretary will organize. Condolences to his wife Lenora.
- Feb 11th, tomorrow is the Fruitvale winter carnival 11 to 2pm at Mazzocchi park where we will make beaver tails and serve hot chocolate by donation. Maddy will confirm with Ingrid.
- Program – Rotary Seven Areas of Focus.
- Pat talked about the Rotary areas of focus, explaining what sort of projects Rotary supports. Disease prevention and treatment, Peace and Conflict Resolution, Maternal and Child Health, Basic Education and Literacy, Economic and Community Development, and Supporting the Environment.
- First Road clean up Saturday 15th April. Juris will let other clubs know.
- Easter Food drive Saturday 1st April at Liberty foods.
- Happy and sad bucks (not) collected. Meeting adjourned at 8.15am
