The meeting was held on zoom at 7.15am with 6 members present.

- Business
- Sheila Hart sent an email asking us to donate to Shelterbox due to the earthquake in Turkey. After discussion, we suggested members donate individually.
- Pat got an email from our Insurance provider warning us to beware of cybercrime.
- Maddy will go talk to Geoff at Trail YAN about their cooking program.
- Beaver Valley Nursery School may be eligible for bingo money. Pat will talk to Sheila Issell.
- Several of us attended the service for John Lake on Monday. We sent a plant to Lenora his wife. Juris spoke on behalf of Rotary about John.
- Memories of John Lake. Juris will write something for the website about him.
- April Huggett who was a speaker a few months ago went to Ukraine. The link to the article in the trail Times is in the sidebar.
- Gord wrote an article for the website about the snow day and Juris will post it to the website.
- Pat appointed Gord to be our Facebook person and to keep it updated. Joan will make him an administrator.
- Program -Pat talked about PETS
- Well-organized, outstanding speakers. John Hewko Rotary CEO spoke about Ukraine. Very impressive. Lorelei Higgins spoke on First Nations issues. He asked Rotarians about their fundraising events and has some ideas. How do we keep our members engaged? Pat was impressed with the number of younger people who were there and met a DG who was 26. She started in Youth Exchange. A speaker talked about other service clubs declining but Rotary is holding its own worldwide. Largest PETS in the world nearly all clubs represented. The food service was excellent. Pat suggested we do a multi-club project with local clubs. An area-wide service project perhaps.
- Next week March 3rd in-person meeting at Lil T’s at 8am.
- Social – games night at Joan’s house, March 4th, Pot luck. 6pm. Bring what you want to drink. Maddy will send out a notice.
- First Road clean-up Saturday 15th April. Juris will let other clubs know.
- Easter Food-drive Saturday 1st April at Liberty foods from 9 to 4pm.
- Happy and sad bucks (not) collected. The meeting adjourned at 8.15am
