Thought of the day
Minutes 24 March 2023
The only way to keep your health is to eat what you don’t want, drink what you don’t like and do what you’d rather not.
Mark Twain.
When we remember that we are all mad, the mysteries disappear and life stands explained

- When the Village of Fruitvale bought the middle school they came up with a plan. BV Maydays was not represented and were not involved in the masterplan. Now the plan has been revised to include their vision. The new plan will probably be a one to two million dollar project. Phase 1 is Haines park. 45degree parking will be put in. Remove chain link fencing and put post and chain fence. New Deadmarsh Avenue will have access to the new Childcare center. there will be a Movie theatre area for May Days to put a portable screen, this needs power. The slope of the ball field will be reduced and floodlights put in. The ball fields will all be made multi-league. The existing pavilion is to be expanded so functions can be held. Inclusive access all around the park will be put in. A bar area will be added for use in events. A washroom review is underway. Semi-permanent fences will be put in around Lower and Upper Lewis parks. A multi sport area will be available for a kid’s play area. Maydays have food vendors that have asked for 3-phase power and water. It will be 5 to 10 years to get phase 1 complete at a cost of $600,000. CBT will give up to $200,000 if there is community buy in.
