  • Business
  • Cooking at Trail YAN for this week 19th was postponed as Juris was sick. He will do it on 26th April. help from other members welcome. Maddy and Theresa on May 3rd.
  • Road clean-up happened with 8 of us and we collected 20 bags. Thank you to Scott Daniels and his wife from Trail Rotary who helped us.
  • No one was available to attend the insurance meeting Tuesday. We are changing to a new Canadian insurance provider. Maddy will look into any changes we need to know about.
  • We still have more gaming money we can give out. Mary Martin will talk to us about the Memory Garden at Columbia View Lodge next week April 28th.
  • No news yet from Carol on the Senior’s Games donation.
  • BV Nursery School is not moving. The new building in Fruitvale is going to have a daycare only. The Nursery School may be eligible for gaming money. Pat will check with Sheila Issel.
  • Pat talked to us about fundraisers advertised in the Rotary magazine. We will discuss an annual fundraiser on May 5th at our in-person meeting. We need a signature fundraiser for all three clubs. What sort of fundraiser? Something to support the community.
  • Maddy attended a Bingo meeting on Zoom. No movement on restarting online. Possibility of one or two bingos a year with physical cards mailed out, given enough lead time.
  • Dacdb requires changing passwords every six months to access registration for district events. Very cumbersome.
  • The Trail Farmer’s Market schedule is out. We will plan to make beaver tails at the Music in the Park events on July 20th and Aug 17th.
  • Upcoming meetings and events
  • April 28th Mary Martin to talk to us about Memory Garden at Columbia View Lodge.
  • May 5th in-person meeting at Bridgeview at 8am. fundraising meeting.
  • May 13th Wine, cheese, and chocolate fundraiser in Colville from 5 to 9pm
  • April 29th Spring assembly in Spokane. Pat will drive a few of us down for the day. Registration is open. Meet at Pat’s 6.45am then pick up Gordon.
  • July 4th joint changeover meeting hosted by Trail Club-more details to follow.
  • Happy and sad bucks (not) collected. The meeting adjourned at 8.15am

  1. Thank you for putting our fundraiser in your newsletter! We’re struggling with fundraisers, too. We have two grant apps in, so money needs to be raised. Another thing we are doing that you might be interesting in is a pickleball tourney on Sept 9!
