The meeting was held on Zoom at 7.15am with 4 members present

  • Business
  • Dues are due. $120 for the next 6 months. Maybe it is time for a review. We have not received the invoices yet.
  • Juris presented our cheque to the KBRH for the Memory Garden project.
  • No cooking this week. We assume the AC is still out. Maddy and Theresa will make a salad at a future date. Pat will make soup with them in the fall. Maddy will check with Jeff.
  • More of us need to have Foodsafe so that we do not have to rely on just one person every time we make beaver tails. Foodsafe is available online.
  • The road clean-up will be tomorrow July 22nd at 8am. 7.15 for breakfast at Tim’s. Maddy organized a new insurance certificate.
  • Juris will investigate us doing more tree planting in the fall at Fort Shepherd.
  • We have Bingo money to use before the end of October. Juris will let us know how much. Suggested we try Communities in Bloom.
  • Waterton International Peace Park Assembly is from September 21 to 24. Anyone interested in attending?
  • Maddy was elected to be PE for the year (to be President for the year 2024/25). Gord will take over as Secretary.
  • Maddy will investigate if there is space for us to make Beaver Tails at one of the Music in the Park Markets.
  • Pat participated in the Meek Sheep run/walk in Rossland on Saturday.
  • Maddy took part in a zone training on membership. Very informative. The next one is on August 12th can someone else attend?
  • Pat asked what we want to do this year, as a club, especially to attract new members. Come up with ideas next week. Have a social outside. Invite past members.
  • Social on Saturday, August 12th at 4pm. Invite friends and past members and someone new to Rotary.
  • 22nd July road clean-up 7.15am Tim’s for breakfast. 8am start.
  • Future summer meetings- August 4th should be in person. Check on Bridgeview hours. We will try to meet each week and cancel only if needed.
  • July 28th regular Zoom meeting.
  • Happy and sad bucks (not) collected. The meeting adjourned at 7.45am
