When I hear somebody sigh, “Life is hard.” I am always tempted to ask, “Compared to what?”
The meeting was held on Zoom at 7.15am with 4 members present

- Business
- Food drive at Liberty Foods on September 30th. Maddy will create a facebook invite please share it.
- Foodsafe course at Selkirk College in Trail on October 21st. $125 per person. This coincides with tree planting. so we may have to do it online. Geoff at Trail Yan is interested in attending with us and sponsoring kids too. Maybe we can get organise a course just for us.
- Next road clean up changed to Friday October 20th since several of us have a conflict for 14th.
- District Assembly October 14th in Spokane and October 15th in Creston. We will probably go to Creston.
- $3500 of Bingo money: Motion: Juris, Graham. We donate $1250 to TACL, $500 to seniors games, $500 to foodbank, up to $1250 to the land conservancy. Passed.
- We will have the last of our bingo money to spend by Christmas.
- Tree planting in September at Fort Shepherd tentatively set for October 21st. (coincides with date of foodsafe course). We will be planting camus.
- Next club social, bowling night with pizza. Invite Trail YAN kids too. We pay for them. Maddy to contact Geoff. Graham will contact the bowling alley. Probably mid week depending on their league schedule.
- Christmas plans – Adopt a family, wrapping gifts for the BV hampers, assembling hampers.
- Christmas party/brunch. Tentatively Friday December 1st, probably evening. Suggested locations Kootenay Kebab, Fruitvale kitchen (when they reopen) Dragonfly in Salmo, Ymir Hotel, Arlington. Maddy and Joan will sort out a venue.
- September 22nd regular meeting.
- Happy and sad bucks (not) collected. The meeting adjourned at 7.45am
