• Program – Kate Friesen, coordinator, Beaver Valley Youth Action Network (BVYAN)
• For youth aged 12 to 18. She runs lots of activities and workshops. Her goal is to provide a safe space for youth to meet. Every Tuesday, she runs a drop-in at Pole Yard Lane in the summer, moving to the Fruitvale Memorial Hall in January. An average of 10 kids attend workshops, half are grade 7’s. Young entrepreneur workshops are popular, making clickers. She wants help to mentor youth and would like a 3D printer. She has some parent volunteers, but would like more. BVYAN is funded by CBT. She posts on Facebook and Instagram and sends out a text newsletter. Biggest need a cooking program.
• Maddy offered a tour of the BV foodbank on Friday January 26th, 2026 at 4pm.
