  • Business:
  • District conference is April 17th 9am to 1pm on zoom.
  • Bingo no news on who we can donate to yet
  • Peruvian water project. We will commit to $300 from the club. Individuals can donate to the club earmarked for the project so it may be more.
  • Discussion on youth safety protocols and training. We do not have to do any projects with youth but need a Youth Protection officer to make sure we are vetting everyone correctly.
  • We need to have an election for a President Nominee to follow Juris in the year 2022/23.
  • District team is available for a “guvna line chat”. (Lynn, Linda, Kimber and Bob)
  • Community garden – no news as yet who the contact is.
  • Social; Sunday April 25th depending on weather an afternoon outdoor barbecue or weiner roast. We will see how the weather improves and how the covid situation changes. More details to follow.
  • Program – discussion – What is the optimum Government?
  • With the death of Prince Philip we had a discussion of whether we should have a monarchy or not. Would a republic be better? What is the role of the Governor General? What should it be? They are supposed to keep the government in check. Governments make mistakes. Information sharing has been poor especially provincially.
  • Upcoming meetings
  • Saturday April 17th 9am to 12 District conference/spring assembly
  • Happy and sad bucks (not) collected. Meeting adjourned at 8.15am
