• Pat is in Seattle for PETS this week.
• We made Beaver Tails at the Beaver Valley family snow day. It was a successful day with good weather and we raised $454.
• Pat brought two stoves to keep the oil and water for hot chocolate separate.
• Thank You to BV tool rental donated the tent for us.
• We need to buy a tent. Juris will buy one and allow the club to use it.
• Mandi Lunan from the Teen chef club discovered that they are not eligible for funding through the Chamber of Commerce.
• RYLA – we think we have a credit together with the Trail club. Maddy will contact Ray Maslek from the Trail club and confirm that we still have a credit. then we can start recruiting someone.
• We still have bingo money we could spend.
• Maddy let Geoff at Trail YAN know we are interested in coming in again to cook. Juris, Graham, and Pat volunteered to cook. Maddy and Juris will go talk to him. Theresa Buchner is interested in helping again. Maddy will let the Trail club know we are doing it again.
• Beaver Valley Nursery School may be eligible for bingo money. Pat will talk to Sheila Issell.
• There is a service for John Lake on Monday at 1.30pm at the Miner’s hall in Rossland. Maddy sent a plant on our behalf to Lenora his wife.
• Program -none
• Social – games night at Joan’s house, tentative date March 4th to be confirmed. Pot luck. More details to follow.
• Membership – we need a strategy.
• We need to update the website more often. If anyone wants to write an article send it to Juris. We need an article on the Snow Day. A link to the Trail Times article about the express grant could go on the website. Send Juris an email if you have something.
• Memories of John Lake. Juris will write something for the website about him.
• Discussion on the Loneliness article in the Rotary Magazine.
• Next week February 24th Pat will talk about his experience at PETS.
• First Road clean-up Saturday 15th April. Juris will let other clubs know.
• Easter Food-drive Saturday 1st April at Liberty foods.
• Happy and sad bucks (not) collected. Meeting adjourned at 8.15am
