The meeting was held on Google Meet at 7.15 am with 6 members present.

- Program Tedtalk on fundraising by Dan Pallotta
- Problem with system. Non-profits not attracting best candidates due to budgets. Can’t advertise. Charitable giving stuck at 2% in US. System discriminates against non profits. Scale goes to for-profits. Charity is something you give when you have made money.
- We confuse morality with frugality. Having a low overhead detracts from fundraising. We need to change the way we look at overhead. We don’t want to invest in fundraising. A bake sale with little outlay raises $71 but if we spend more to start we could raise thousands.
- Discussion; we see telemarketers for fundraising in a negative light. Beaver tails; is it worth it?

- Motion by Gord. seconded by Joan; that we appoint Erika as Treasurer for the 2026/27 year.
- Motion by Graham seconded by Maddy that we remove Pat and replace him with Erika as signing authority on our bank account.
- Maddy will type up minutes to go to the bank.
- The social was a success despite the rain with nine of us at Marsh Creek.
- The market stall on 30th May was a not very successful with cold wet weather. We will try again.
- Joan will look at a program for next meeting
- Changeover meeting on July 5th at Fiona Martin’s house in Rossland.
- July 22nd, Wednesday at noon, DG Steve Roberge will be at Colander with Trail Rotary.
