• The bank paperwork to change signatories is complete. Erika paid the District dues.
• Social: stargazing postponed. A new location is needed once Champion Lakes is closed for the season.
• Alternative social: board games at Joan’s on September 19th.
• Castlegar Rotary Club is asking for money for a project in Nepal.
• Farmers market in Trail; September 5th market confirmed. We will be there from 10 to 2.
• September 4th is an in-person meeting at Bridgeview at 8am. DG Steven Roberge will be attending.
• Food drive September 26th at Liberty Foods. Maddy to contact them.
• Program: Notes from E-Club meetings
• E-clubs are growing worldwide.
• A wide variety of service project ideas were shared.
• Finding creative ways to serve when members are geographically dispersed.
• Measuring and communicating impact can be tough. Document and send out stories.
• Alternative membership models: temporary members, associate members.
• Use an e-club as a strategy for membership growth
• 10 action items came from the meeting.
• Track and report club impact consistently: volunteer hours, funds raised, people served, projects completed, member participation.
• Tell impact stories. Put signs up at the food bank to say that we sponsor them. ‘Thank you’ posts are important after events. Highlight what we have done. These encourage others to join us.
• Build partnerships beyond our geography. Local clubs, E-Clubs. Invite Rotary members to drop by the market. Keep stats on how many people stop by to talk to us. Joan will track this.
• We need a signature project. Choose it carefully.
• Share impact publicly and frequently.
